Designing the Learning and Development Function

NDMC is conducting a European study of the learning and development function. The study aims to better understand how organizations are re-designing their learning and development capability in light of business requirements to be more responsive to market conditions, meet customer service expectations and support the lifelong learning of key workers. Large, complex organizations in the technology sector are the focus of the study that analyses the key areas of scope of duties, roles and responsibilities, economic metrics, technology and strategy.

Global Electronics Corporation Strengthens its 'Sales Edge'

NDMC's Sales Edge programme has made a big impression within a major electronics corporation that has adopted the system in support of three recent European product launches. Developed by NDMC, Sales Edge is a method of engaging customers through a deeper appreciation of role-based issues. Through training in the Sales Edge approach, sales people gain a competitive edge by being able to articulate the best fit offer to satisfy emotional and functional role issues. Sales Edge appeals to sales people, marketers and sales support teams who are able to share a common appreciation of customer needs. To quote one product manager, "We want each of our sales people to be customer value focussed. Sales Edge makes sales person more personable and effective in front of customers. At the same time, it helps marketers to fashion new offers and solutions into a vocabulary that creates a compelling sales conversation with customers. It's early days but so far we're delighted with the results."
